On the road again

We took to the road and made it home. Corey enjoyed his brief period as a truck driver (have you ever tried to drive a 24' Budget truck??? not an easy task) Chloe, the dog, however enjoyed the trip riding shotgun in the monster truck. Becky, my mother-in-law, did most of the driving in our car while I entertained Cora in the back seat.

God was gracious to keep us safe and relatively free from traffic. We hit one bit of traffic in Kentucky. Once we saw the tractor trailer accident that caused our 25-30 minute delay, an eerie feeling came over me. It had belonged to the ABF moving company (If you are not familiar with them, you load your things into a trailer and they haul them to the destination). We had planned to use them for our move but used Budget b/c of the price. Only a shell of a trailer bed remained with the ashes and remnants of someone's goods. Among the smouldering goods, was a woman and young girl looking for anything worth saving. I was reminded at that moment, it could've been our stuff burning alongside that KY road and that our possessions are only temporary. This lesson is just the first of many we anticipate learning on our journey to becoming full-time ministers of the gospel.

We are back in Dallas, tying up loose ends.
