A Letter to Our Supporters

We hope that you have had time to reflect on the blessings that God has provided for you and your family this past year. We are reminded anew with the celebration of Christ’s birth, that God is eternally good to us.
Looking back over the year we have seen how God has provided for us through the gifts, prayers and hospitality of others. You prayed and supported our decision to leave the business world and enter full-time ministry. Many of you helped us reach Colorado for training and gave us food and shelter when we returned to Dallas with no place to live. Some strong guys helped us move out of our Dallas house into storage and then into a Budget truck two months later. We are so grateful to those of you that have been faithfully praying and partnering with us financially.
Without your support in our lives, the decision to step out as full-time missionaries would have been much more difficult! We are thankful that God has used you in so many ways to bless our lives and we are eternally grateful.

On the road again

We took to the road and made it home. Corey enjoyed his brief period as a truck driver (have you ever tried to drive a 24' Budget truck??? not an easy task) Chloe, the dog, however enjoyed the trip riding shotgun in the monster truck. Becky, my mother-in-law, did most of the driving in our car while I entertained Cora in the back seat.

God was gracious to keep us safe and relatively free from traffic. We hit one bit of traffic in Kentucky. Once we saw the tractor trailer accident that caused our 25-30 minute delay, an eerie feeling came over me. It had belonged to the ABF moving company (If you are not familiar with them, you load your things into a trailer and they haul them to the destination). We had planned to use them for our move but used Budget b/c of the price. Only a shell of a trailer bed remained with the ashes and remnants of someone's goods. Among the smouldering goods, was a woman and young girl looking for anything worth saving. I was reminded at that moment, it could've been our stuff burning alongside that KY road and that our possessions are only temporary. This lesson is just the first of many we anticipate learning on our journey to becoming full-time ministers of the gospel.

First Stage

We are back in Dallas, tying up loose ends.
